Located in one of the most notorious brothel districts
in all of Asia, the Svay Pak Community Center is designed
to be beacon of hope for women and children living in
a world of poverty, exploitation, and abuse. Together
with our partner group, Aid to Children Without Parents,
Action to End Exploitation is committed to bringing
integrated educational, social, and medical services
to this forgotten corner of Cambodia.

Action to End Exploitation opened the doors to its specialized community center in the summer of 2008. Focusing on commercial sex workers and high-risk youths, the centre supports an array of services and programs such as the Academic Bridge Program, CSW's Micro-credit Program and CSW's H.I.V Support Program. Hepatitis B is the most common liver infection in the world that can lead to cirrhosis and liver cancer later in life. It is caused by the hepatitis B virus (HBV), which attacks and injures the liver. Worldwide, over 360 million people are chronic carries of the Hepatitis B virus, 78% of whom live in Asia. Vietnam has one of the highest prevalence rates in the world, estimated at well over 10% in some studies. The Hue vaccination project is designed to improve vaccine coverage in an area with high endemic viral burden. As Hepatitis B is passed primarily through exchange of bodily fluids (i.e. sexual intercourse), we view vaccine provision as a risk reduction initiative, and primarily target young women who are at risk of being exploited by the commercial sex industry.
